FLASHBACK! A QUICK LOOK AT A PAST PRODUCTION

Off Centre Theatre has an archive spanning more than two decades.

We invite members and friends to send us their own pictures and  memories of a past production, which we’ll publish on this page.

Maybe there’s an achievement you think is especially praiseworthy, or even an incident best forgotten!

Send your pictures and stories using the links or form below, or contact us to make a comment.

This picture was sent to us by Anthony Sully, who lives in Cambridgeshire.

‘Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime’ was staged at Dingestow in 2005, directed by Wyn Parry.

Anthony (in the centre) played Baines the butler. He also designed and painted the set.

Anthony said that the Sullys moved away from Monmouth in 2008 - but the good news is that they are probably going to return to the town this summer.

The Virtuous Burglar, staged in February 2006, was directed by Judith Rossiter at HMSG.  They then took the play to the Hereford County Drama Festival in March 2006. Judith remarked,”The adjudicator said lots of nice things about us and I was nominated for best director, and Jon Saunders was nominated for best actor (which was pretty remarkable, given that he was up against adult actors).  We went on to win the Best Youth Performance and Best Novice Award and overall were in fourth place, again up against adult dramas. We lost a few points due to problems putting the set in place.”

“They were a brilliant bunch of actors,” Judith adds, “and I know that at least two of them went on to study drama at university and a private drama college in London. One of the team, Oliver Thornton is now a professional actor and was last seen in the film "Bright Star".  It was a great play to direct.”
