Hi De Hi!

Off Centre Theatre celebrated the BBC Perry and Croft comedy Hi-De-Hi! at the Savoy Theatre during 26-28 January.

It was back to 1959 at Maplin's Holiday Camp, as Peggy the chalet maid tried in vain to become a Yellowcoat, Ted the camp host tried to pay off his ex-wife and Gladys tried gamely to win the affections of  Entertainments Manager Jeff.

The OCT crew romped through the comic goings-on at Maplin's Holiday Camp from curtain up to 'Goodnight Campers!"

Off Centre Theatre to stage

Youth Theatre production

Off Centre Theatre is planning a summer production for its younger members, and has arranged a series free workshops.

Chairman Brian Pearce said, “As our group enters its twenty-sixth year we are planning a full programme of productions. We want to know what our members would like to put on, and we are delighted that Brian Jackson, of Ross X-entricity Theatre has agreed to run the workshops and direct the next Youth Theatre show.”

The first workshop was held on

Sunday 29th January at our HQ, and we now plan more monthly evening sessions in February and March.
